My name is Alexia, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist.
My coursework has revolved around the biopsychosocial model, and l I believe in an integrative approach; the mind-body-spirit connection. We are complex beings, and I believe that this should not only be considered but honored.
I will work to help you understand these connections better and to help foster a truly supportive and warm therapeutic alliance. I work with different modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and CBT, to find what works best for you as a unique individual. I will ensure this to be a team effort, and that we all bring unique strengths and interests to the table!
Some of my interests are yoga and meditation. I enjoy being outside equally as much as I enjoy being cozy with a good book and a cup of tea. I practice gratitude daily, and I believe that this is the ultimate secret weapon- don’t let the small things go unnoticed! Pause and hold space to take it all in whenever you can.
